Home Visits & Emergency Treatment
Where a patient's condition prevents attendance at the surgery and a doctor's call is required then please telephon (01443) 404444 before 10.00am weekdays. Requests for home visits will be assessed by the clinical team and should it be considered clinically appropriate then a member of the team will visit.

Surgery Hours
Please telephone (01443) 404444. After taking breif details the receptionist will contact the doctor. If appropriate, and it is medically possible for you to attend the surgery you will be given an appointment by the doctor. Should there be any difficulty in contacting the surgery and the patient is unconscious, suffering heavy blood loss, severe breathlessness or chest pain you should dial 999 and requst an ambulance.
Out of Hours
Out of Hours (OOH) services are provided when the surgery is closed in the evening, overnight, weekend, bank holidays and the third Thursday of each month for those conditions that cannot wait until normal surgery opening.
The out of hours period runs:
Monday to Thursday: 6.30pm - 8.00am
Friday: 6.30pm - Monday 8.00am
Should you require urgent medical attention during these times please telephone (01443) 404444. Please have a pen and paper to hand to take down the telephone number of the out of hours service.
On contacting the OOH service a trained call handler will answer your call, with priority of need and proper place of treatment determined by doctors centrally. You may be asked to visit a rimary care centre and transport may be provided for those with access difficulties. A home visit will only be made if considered necessary by the triage doctor. Please not that attendance at the out of hours centre is by invitation only.
Should there be any delay or difficulty in contacting the service and the patient is unconscious, suffering heavy blood loss, severe breathlessness or severe chest pain we suggest you dial 999 and request an ambulance.
