APPOINTMENTS
An appointment system is in operation for all doctors, nurse practitioners, nurse, clinics and patient care programmes.
Appointments may be made in person or by telephoning (01443) 404444 during surgery opening times.
Please make a separate appointment for each person who wishes to be seen. You may choose to see any available health professional.
Telephone lines are open between 8.00am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
For emergencies between 1.00pm - 2.00pm please call the surgery on (01443) 404444 and you will be given the emergency telephone number.
Following feedback from the patient questionnaire and to help reduce the amount of unnecessary calls to the Practice, can ALL patients please be mindful that if they are asked to book a follow up appointment to review the results there is no need to ring the Surgery. If you do not have a follow up appointment please telephone for test results between 2.00pm - 4.30pm.
Please note doctor, nurse practitioner and nurse special interests prior to making an appointment. You may find it helpful to see a health professional with an interest appropriate to your condition.
In order that our receptionists may offer you an appointment with the most appropriate health care professional, it would be helpful if you can give an indication of the condition for which you are seeking medical advice.
Patients arriving late may be asked to make an alternative appointment.
Please let us know as soon as possible if cancelling an appointment.

The surgery is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and in common with other surgeries in the area, the third Thursday of each month from 12.00pm for educational and training purposes.
Thursday Afternoon closures for 2012 are as follows:-
19 January, 23 February, 15 March, 26 April, 17 May, 21 June, 19 July, 16 August, 20 September, 18 October, 15 November, 20 December.

ADDITIONAL SURGERY OPENING TIMES
We are pleased to announce that our Practice provides additional opening hours to our patients. This is to help aid, in particular, patients who find it difficult to attend surgery during the core opening hours due to work or family commitments.
The additional opening hours will consist of two/three early mornings each week – ‘pre-bookable’ appointments will be available from 7.30 am with a variety of doctors and nurses. In addition we will offer a late evening session the first Wednesday of each month from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm - Access to these additional sessions will be by advance booking only.
Access to the surgery during the additional opening hours will be via the intercom at the rear patient doors. Only those with a booked appointment will be granted entrance.
Telephone access will remain at 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.
The Out of Hours service provided by the Local Health Board will continue to provide care for those with a medical emergency between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.00 am weekdays and from 6.30 pm Friday to 8.00 am Monday.

Earlier afternoon surgeries are frequently available.
Practice Nurses / Health Care Practitioners
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12 noon and 2.00pm to 5.30pm
7.30am and 7.30pm surgeries are available regularly with GPs, NPs, Nurses and HCPs
University of Glamorgan
Doctors from the practice hold surgeries for students at the Universtiy Health Centre during term time as follows:
Monday: 2.00pm to 4.30pm
Wednesday: 2.00pm to 4.30pm
Friday: 10.00am to 12.00 noon

Students should telephone (01443) 404444 for appointments at other times, when the consultation will be held at the surgery.
